The Wairewa Community Recovery Committee is a representative group of and for community members. The committee formed in the wake of the 2019- 2020 Eastern Australian Bushfires.

The committee has taken carriage of planning and implementing recovery projects not only to re-establish the community but also to ensure residents, businesses and tradespeople's income was assured.

The committee meets fortnightly to develop ideas to re-establish the community connectedness, develop projects and apply for funding and grants to improve community resources and to provide social events for all age groups.

This website has been created by the Wairewa Community Recovery Committee. The website aims to be an online space for our community to remain updated and connected on current projects, news and environmental restoration.
